Looking to Give a Great Back Massage?

Posted by admin on Dec 5, 2011

We all like to get massages but many of us are reluctant to give them. Most individuals are ordinarily afraid of hurting someone else. We are scared that we may not help enough. We’re afraid that other people won’t like what we are doing. You will be glad to hear that anybody can learn how to give a terrific massage whenever they want to do just that. Here is how you can give a great back massage every time you wish to.
Now that you have read this far, has that stirred your views in any way? You may already have guessed that beauty therapy London is a vast field with much to discover. Yes, it is correct that so many find this and other similar subjects to be of great value. Sometimes it can be tough to get a distinct picture until you discover more. It is always a wise decision to determine what your circumstances call for, and then go from that point. You will find out the rest of this article adds to the groundwork you have built up to this point.

The first thing that you have to do is make sure that the individual is comfortable when he or she lies down. The surface on which they are lying down has to be firm but soft. If you don’t don’t have a massage table, you could try them on the bed. If the person is lying on the floor, provide them with some soft towels or blankets to lay down…or even invest in an inexpensive mat. If the person chooses to remain clothed (and many will), be sure that the shirt they are wearing is made of soft material so there won’t be as much friction or scratching.

Start with the standard rub. In a slow manner, and using the entire flat side of both of your hands, rub up from the base of the back and toward the neck. This rub should have at least a bit of pressure in it but don’t try to use your full massage pressure yet. Begin at the base of the back and glide your hands up, along either side of the backbone toward the neck then across the shoulders and back down the back. As you keep on doing this, make your loops smaller and smaller so that you can be sure to cover the entire back.

Use the heels of your hands to make good and pointed pressure. Using the heels of your palms to generate pressure, start working in little circles at the base of the back on either side of the spinal column and then work those little circles out toward the person’s sides, up a little bit and then back across to the backbone and upward until you have massaged the whole back.

Try to sit at the side of the individual who is obtaining the massage. Then, set one hand on top of the other and push into the back with just your fingers. Begin at the spine and dig in steadily and with solid pressure across the back away from the spine and then gently sort of slide your hands back across the back toward the spinal column and move up. Repeat as you try to work up the back and then do it again on the person’s other side.

Massage the backbone. Starting out with the base of the spinal column, work your way up each of the sausage like muscles on either side of the spinal column by rubbing in little circles with a couple of fingers or your thumbs. Rub each tiny node at least five times to generate some friction before moving on to the next. Massage one side of the spine and then the next.

One of the things to bear in mind as you work through each of these techniques is that it is good to re-relax your person between each portion of the massage you’re giving. This means that after you’re done using the heels of your hands for specific applied pressure, you should go back to the rub you used at the beginning for a couple of minutes.

When was the very last time you really succeeded at massage central London? The real issue is if you do not have a concern with falling short of your desired goals. That’s ok because if you just understood about massage east London, then we guess things would be different.

What Are The Advantages Of Massage Stone Therapy?

Posted by admin on Sep 21, 2011

For hundreds of years, people have cited great benefits that come from doing massages.  In more recent times, specifically from in the early 1990s, massage stone therapy has become increasingly popular as a method of doing more effective massages.  Many people will tell you that the levels of relaxation and soothing received from a stone therapy session far exceeds the results found from a regular massage.  With stone therapy, specifically hot stone massage, heated basalt stones are placed at certain points of a client’s body to allow for relaxation, positive flow of energies, and remarkable stress relief.

While the muscles are being treated with heated stones, the therapist or masseuse uses other heated stones to perform deep tissue massages on the rest of the body. There are even cases when cold stones are being used, that are notably effective once utilized on pressure points.  For a significantly effective outcome overall, both hot and cold stones are used simultaneously to target every single area of the body that needs attention.

There are several benefits to be had from doing massage stone therapy, with the main ones being:

• Muscle relaxation – using heat treated stones on specific muscles that are sore will cause them to relax almost immediately
• Stress release – cold stone massage therapy specifically targets people who are undergoing stressful conditions, because the cold stones are placed on pressure points that are blocking the release of negative energies
• Cleansing properties – massage stone therapy is said to have really good cleansing properties, as many people believe these stones help to release toxins from the body when infused by heat from the stones
• General pain relief – even if there are no sore muscles, overall pain can be treated with stone massage therapy.

People with specific health conditions have also reported getting really positive results from massage therapy, specifically hot stone massage.  Some of these conditions include stress, depression, muscular aches and pains, anxiety, build up of toxins in the body, blood circulation problems, and inability to sleep, or insomnia.  When massage stone therapy is done on a fairly consistent basis, people end up having a sense of euphoria and relaxation over a prolonged period of time because therapy has engaged the muscles, joints and organs in the entire healing process.

If you happen to be experiencing any kind of physical difficulties, whether pain, injury or stress in general, massage stone therapy is definitely recommended as one of the most effective ways of getting your body back to a point of feeling healthy and having a sense of general well being.  If you are a newcomer to this type of treatment, make sure you hire the services of a well trained therapist or masseuse who has had a lot of experience in performing stone massages.  While you certainly will want to experience the total relaxation that comes with stone massages, you do not want to end up in a situation where pain is all you feel after the massage is done.
