What is your favorite type of massage therapy?

Posted by admin on Aug 6, 2010

I’m an MT, just wondering what the majority of people would pick to be their favorite type of massage to get. :)

I am also a massage therapist. i have found that if you get clients who keep fit then they prefer a deep tissue massage. The hot stone massage does not seem popular where i am based. I have a few clients that come for relaxation, but others that come for treatments for ailments. My most popular treatments other that relaxation are deep tissue massage, crystal therapy massage, and refexology.

In your case, you can choose from one or a combination of: sports, trigger point, deep tissue or just the plne Swedish if its your first time. Ask your massage therapist and don’t hesitate to mention the reason why you wanted a massage in the first place, they would be glad to help.

What is the most popular type of massage in demand ?

Posted by admin on Apr 29, 2010

I’d like to become a massage therapist, but which type of massage is the most popular to learn about? Which one can be offered a lot of jobs?

Deep tissue massage is the best done by a Registered Massage Therapists. I believe it’s two years of training.

I am a client of deep tissue massage due to a severe car accident in the past and it helped me regain my range of motion after my severe whiplash and shoulder injuries.

Deep tissue massage is done for work injuries and car accidents so there would be many clients if they have benefits for this through their insurance. Also people who have repetitive jobs or heavy lifting get sore muscles and like to have deep tissue massages.

I once went for an aroma massage therapy at a spa but other than smelling nice and feeling good, it did nothing for my muscles or stiffness.

Good luck in your decision.
